Ariana Grande’s “34+35 (Remix)” music video with Megan The Stallion and Doja Cat features a lot of elements — specifically the set design and costumes — that can be compared to “WAP,” Megan’s 2020 mega-hit collaboration with Cardi B. Both videos see the artists walking around a luxurious estate and singing their verses in fancy rooms while wearing lingerie.
Meanwhile, Doja Cat’s scene looks like it was inspired by 101 Dalmatians’ Cruella de Vil. She seemingly rocked the iconic villain’s look, wearing long black-and-white gloves and what appeared to be a fur coat, complete with a Dalmatian by her side. One fan is also convinced the singer used the dog to subtly shade Tekashi69 (otherwise known as 6ix9ine). “PLEASE WHY IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT HOW THE CAMERA ZOOMED ON A DOG WHEN DOJA SAID “T*K*SHI” LMAOOOOOO AT 1:08,” the person pointed out in the video’s comments. It’s unclear if the dig was intentional but another fan added, “I guess thats because in his music video [“Gooba”] he holds a Dalmatian puppy and Doja is holding a Dalmatian DOG.”
On the “34+35 (Remix),” Doja raps, “Play and rewind that, listen, you’ll find that, you’ll find that/ I want that six-nine without Tekashi,” which is clear reference to the rapper, who previously accused Grande and Justin Bieber of manipulating the Billboard charts, per NBC News.
